It’s hard staying motivated to be active over the Christmas period.
The last thing I’m thinking about when I finish work on a cold winter’s eve is heading to the gym. No, I want to go home and snuggle under a blanket with a hot chocolate and watch a film. But it’s important to stay fit and healthy all throughout the year. By pushing through the cold you can strengthen your lungs, heart, and circulatory system. Working up a sweat also triggers endorphins that release dopamine and serotonin that make you feel good. Plus, burning a few hundred calories means you can treat yourself to that tree chocolate you’ve had your eye on!

Have a look through your workout wardrobe and see what inspires you to brave the cold. I recently invested in a running jacket to motivate me to get moving. Add an extra layer or indoor exercise equipment to your Christmas wishlist to help you stay fit this winter.
